Herpetologic means pertaining to herpetology, the study of reptiles and amphibians. We have over 20 years of experience with the study, husbandry and propagation of reptiles and amphibians. We specialize in top quality captive bred animals and offer outstanding service and advice.  Although much of this site pertains to the sale of reptiles and amphibians; HERPETOLOGIC, above all, maintains its hobbyist roots and passion with respect for each animal it maintains and produces. 

We have provided animals to private collectors, zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens and research institutions the world over. In recent years, our frogs and snakes have been featured in National Geographic magazine, Newsweek magazine, ABC News.com, the Baltimore Sun, the Washington Post, The Leader in New York, the Associated Press, the Howard County Times and CNN News.  Our herps have traveled to destinations throughout the United States of America, Canada, Europe, China and Japan. We have worked with, learned from and been inspired by some of the best individuals and institutions the world over. We would be privileged to share with you our experiences and passion for these great creations.

In 2012, we are very excited to continue to provide great quality dart-frogs to institutions and hobbyist.  We expect to have some unique tinctorius morphs available including Ole Marie, Weygoldt, Lorenzos, Lemon Drops, True Sipaliwini, Yellow Sipaliwini and La Fummee to name a few.  We have expanded are leucomelas collection to include Blue foot leucs, another line of small spot leucomelas, as well as, the standard and banded forms.  We hope to have available a great selection of tricolors early in 2012 including Moraspunga and Highland tricolor!  In addition, Rio Saladillo blue morph anthonyi, Zarayunga anthonyi, Santa Isabell anthonyi, Salvia anthonyi, Pasaje anthonyi, Rio Canario anthonyi and Buena Esperanza anthonyi.  We have some unique thumbnails now breeding including Reticulata, Vanzolinii, Varadero imitator, Banded imitator and fantasticus.  We are also anticipating at least 4 shipments of European imports in 2012!   BUY FROGS NOW!

We also are extremely excited about the chondropython projects for the Winter 2011-12!
