Herpetologic means pertaining to herpetology, the study of reptiles and amphibians. We have over 20 years of experience with the study, husbandry and propagation of reptiles and amphibians. We specialize in top quality captive bred animals and offer outstanding service and advice. Although much of this site pertains to the sale of reptiles and amphibians; HERPETOLOGIC, above all, maintains its hobbyist roots and passion with respect for each animal it maintains and produces.

We have provided animals to private collectors, zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens and research institutions the world over. In recent years, our frogs and snakes have been featured in National Geographic magazine, Newsweek magazine, ABC News.com, the Baltimore Sun, the Washington Post, The Leader in New York, the Associated Press, the Howard County Times and CNN News. Our herps have traveled to destinations throughout the United States of America, Canada, Europe, China and Japan. We have worked with, learned from and been inspired by some of the best individuals and institutions the world over. We would be privileged to share with you our experiences and passion for these great creations.

In 2010 we are very excited to continue to provide great quality dart-frogs to institutions and hobbyist. We expect to have some unique tinctorius morphs available including Boulanger, Enisng, Lorenzos, Lemon Drops, True Sipaliwini, Matecho and La Fummee to name a few. We hope to have available a great selection of tricolors early in 2010 including Moraspunga tricolor, Rio Saladillo blue tricolor morph, Zarayunga tricolors, Santa Isabell anthonyi, Salvia anthonyi, Pasaje anthonyi, Rio Canario anthonyi, highland anthonyi and Buena Esperanza. We have some unique thumbnails now breeding including Reticulatus, Vanzolini, banded imitator, Veradero imitator and fantasticus.
